Concepts:
1. Environmental Waste
2. Violence
3. Animal Rights
Conceptial Visions:
Welcome to Plastic Island: It will be a dystopian island with a bunch of plastic floating in the water, and oil spills as well. There will be sea creatures and birds around the island like there is nothing happening around them oblivious to the pollution around them. Some of the plastic will somehow interact with the animals in a harmful way that can't be reversed (e.g. a soda ring holders wrapped around the neck of a sea creature/bird). This vision is to help be aware of the issue of pollution caused by oil spills and plastic waste. It is harmful to animals due to being exposed to the oil in the water and the land animals unawarely eating plastic that will kill their bodies. This will help incorporate some action to help maintain this issue for both our communities and the environment.
A Fight to the Death:
This will be set at a random dystopian city with a big crowd of people spectating a violent scene unfolding in front of them. A bunch of people robbing stores, people with guns shooting at each other, people punching and kicking mercilessly, arguing, and all sorts of violence going on. There is no policemen in this scene, whicch represents how our police force has been diminishing slowly or theres no control on how to stop the violence going on. There are fires set in the background representing the result of this corrupted and greedy world. The goal for visioning this is to make violence more known to other people so that we can better decrease the amount of violence going on everyday in our world. We are selfish, and greedy people that can cause other people to do violence because of our negative language we gossip. The message is to help not promote violence and unintentionally encourage violence to others. Even though violence can't be totally resolved, it can be decreased, and monitored more often.
What's Behind the Curtains:
We are looking at a theatre room and we are the audience looking at a stage. We, as the audience, only see the good side of the show and the happy faces of the performers with their pets, but behind the curtains, we see abusive behavior toward the animals in all sorts of ways. Circus animals being whipped or chained, domestic pets in harmful predicaments, over poaching, caged, and neglected. This is to show the dark side that could be going on behind closed doors. For example, we commonly see animals at a particular zoo, and we don't suspect anything wrong with it (always expecting the animals being treated with love and care by the zoo keepers),but behind the scenes, after the crowd has left, we don't seee the cruelty that the animals might be going through alone, and help sometimes doesn't arrrive until its too late to save them.
