1. Health- For this idea, I would like to focus on how overprocessed and unhealthy many human diets are today. I don't have a distinct vision yet, but I would like this idea to have a utopian but scary feel. One that causes the viewer to reflect on their eating habits and what they are putting into their bodies. I plan to include the overprocessed and unhealthy foods we all know and love, but also ones that we think are healthy, but actually aren't, such as vitamins and supplements. I also plan to draw attention to how our "natural" and "healthy" foods, like meat and fruits, are being pumped full of chemicals and hormones that are bad for us. Visually, I have been thinking of playing into the packaging, the production process, or showing "visual" effects of the food on humans.
2. Resources- For this idea, I would focus on how humans are not resourceful anymore. We have everything available to us at the click of a button from Amazon, we can look anything and everything up online, and the majority of people don't even shop for their own groceries anymore. Our society has lost its ability to be resourceful, to forage, to hunt and gather. In addition to this, I would also point out how humans are very wasteful. Visually, I would want this to have a dystopian vibe that marries together our current age of technology and apps, with hunting and gathering. Some images that come to mind are growing digital images, humans ordering things online that are right in front of them, and possibly piles of waste.
