Interview with Layah Hodges (she/her).
Layah has one older sibling, a brother named Willie, who is five years older than her. She has 10 tattoos; her favorite is the first one she got: a memorial tattoo to her mother when she was 18. She’s never had a pet and dislikes chicken on the bone and cooked carrots. She doesn't normally dress up for Halloween; however, she went with her theater group one year as characters from Sesame Street, and she was Elmo in a red shirt with construction paper details. Her guilty pleasure is Karma by JoJo Siwa, and it was her top song on Spotify last year. She enjoys traveling and specifically wants to go back to Tokyo, where she went this summer, and wants to possibly stay for a year or more. She doesn't know if her name has a specific meaning, but guesses that, considering the time, "Layah" might've been based on 'Leah' from Star Wars and was just spelled differently to be unique regarding her last name. She says it “came from the last guy who owned my family” and specified it was unrelated to the hodge-podge glue. However, upon review, the glue is called Mod Podge, and a hodgepodge is a mixture or grouping of things, so we were both confused by that.
We have in common our communications majors, having older siblings, having multiple tattoos, and memorial ones specifically. We both dislike cooked carrots, and I also have issues with chicken ON the bone.

Oh no, I love cooked carrots. Have you tried slicing them thin and let them toast? They taste amazing
